as fragile

as the paper

to which she writes her soul

yet just as strong

as the heart

First Drop of Rain (Supriya Sharma)

My dear readers you may know Robindranath Tagore once wrote "Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky." 
I have another so lovable poem by Supriya Sharma , I love her sweet stlye of feeling life and expressing the emotions ...emotions of innerself :true and touching. I am really Thankful to my dear friend Supriya Sharma for sending me to post such a masterpiece of words ..She can move them the way her sweet heart directs her.Be Blessed dear Poetess .

First Drop of Rain (Supriya Sharma)

First drop of rain

comes to remove all stain

That I carried in my heart,

It made me realize

Every feeling has its own life

It comes and goes

sometime I understand it

Sometime I don’t know how to show.

Rain give reason to everyone,

Some rejoice, feel happy

While others like to hide their pain

Behind the drops of rain,

As no one able to see

The tears shed from eyes

They make themselves strong enough

to give fake smile.

First drop of rain comes

kiss the beloved earth

for it she waited enough,

This teaches me a wonderful lesson

Even this shall be passed

I have to be patient. 

Love is too like these drops of rain

Gives new life to this girl

who forget herself 

in search of her true love.

him and I together
like a blooming plant
from one ground
we thrive

hi is like leaves
facing the sun
allowing me
to blossom one time
and then
we swap this lovely play
he is a flower that rise from me being a grain

we truly are the one
and all
yes
ocean of life
just like the sky
at night and day time

shaped by divine force
we grow
feeling so free
ahh
it is
great sense of joy

I sit down restfully
on the cushion
made from my life

like awakening

of my dream castle

breath in

You shout about the water

and its consistency

I listen and think about

that Renoir painting

alive in my memory.

The one I saw at Musee D’Orsay

of the happy couple

dancing.

Did he yell at his love?

Times have changed

yet they haven’t

words have become crueler

vulgar

heartbreaking.

Lace, colorful gowns

have metamorphosed

into tight black

mini-skirts

bonnets are stilettos

ribbons are fish-net stockings

and me

I am not of this world.

I want to be at

The Ball of the Moulin de la Galette.

or the color of your skin
to these things I am blind
I love the you within
 

If we reach back far enough
we’d all realize
family is what we are

In being sighted
we are often blind

Just as a mother feels the beat of unborn child

I feel the rhythm from your heart ~ you are loved.

 

The music of you heartbeat so piercing and so sweet

you are special and unique and ~ you are loved.

 

 Yes there are those bad days, bad times,

(hard, hard, hard ones too),

but, hush now, hush now, do not cry ~ you are loved.

 

I sing for you a heart song to nourish you within

You are safe, and you are cherished ~ you are loved.

 

 Let my strength pick up your spirits

carry you along.

You aren’t alone, you aren’t forgotten ~ you are loved.
